Black bumpers for Pepe
« on: October 22, 2011, 07:11:21 PM »
Today I finally finished installing the black bumpers on Pepe.  This project started a few months ago when I pulled some black bumpers from an SX-4 Sport model in a junkyard in Colorado Springs.  I had them sandblasted and powder coated.  It was at that time that I figured out the rear bumper from an SX-4 is different from a rear bumper on a Kammback.   :censored:  Rollguy gave me two rear bumpers when he drove through Denver (they were well travelled as they went to the International Eagle Meet with him).  I had one of the bumpers blasted and powder coated, along with the hitch that was on one of the bumpers.  I traded out the proper bumper for the SX-4 bumper today, and also installed the hitch.  I haven't decided if I'm going to keep the hitch on there.  The bumpers don't have the original trim on them, and I'm looking for some in either really good shape, or a suitable substitute.  Or I can just leave them as is.

Thanks Shane.  Its a Draw Tite hitch, and the rating is still legible on the hitch, I'll take a look.  Although its like my push bar, I don't ever intend to use it lol.
