Front Axle Disconnect Option??
« on: January 20, 2015, 06:33:10 PM »
I wonder if this manual disconnect claptrap kit could be made to work on the early Eagles with a blown front axle disconnect diaphragm??

Looks like a possibility.............

If you can get the cable directly in without a major bend, then yes it works. I was going to do that on my Comanche but I bought non-vacuum 4.10 axles to go in instead.

You can even make one with a PTO cable yourself very easily. It's just a nicely packaged kit.

AMC/Jeep gauges are for amusement only. Any correlation between them and reality is purely coincidental!

Nope; I didn't try it.   I lucked onto an NOS front vacuum motor instead; so I no longer need a cable option.
