I was doing some research, and I found this. Did any of you know there was an Ambassador limo? That would be pretty cool to have.

I have seen a few in pictures. They were converted after they were built. None from the factory. I have wanted one for a long, long time.

a long, long time ago in a place far, far away ...
... I saw one of those actually in service!

I would settle for a regular Ambassador, any Ambassador at a Rambler Mentality price.

I used to own a '72 Ambassador Brougham 4 door. That was fun to drive. It originally came with a 360, and the P.O. put a 401 in it, before he sold it to me. (he had done a resto on it just a few years eariler). I had worked for his company for a couple of years, and he also was a big AMC fan.

That is a very nice looking vehicle.

I happen to know someone who has an Ambassador limo, he displays at his car show that he has every year at his house. He also owns Mr. Teague's 1971 AMX, and not a Javelin AMX, a REAL 1971 AMX that Mr. Teague had personally made for himself.
If you guys want to see his cars, come to his (AMC) car show at his house in June in Jefferson, WI.

Or maybe you'd be wonderful enough to take it apon yourself to go there on the members behalf - Who can't make the trip, and get some pictures, and share them all with us.
We'd all be really impressed if you did that for us... :)

Come to think of it, I'm sure my dad has some pictures somewhere. I'll give it a look.

Yup, I was able to find only one picture. But that's better than none anyone would say... I still say you have to go to his house and see his collection of cars...He's got a whole barn full of AMC literature and old dealership signs. It's really neat to see. Sorry I couldn't locate one of his '71 AMX, but here's the photo of his Ambassador limo.

There are some pictures of the 71 AMX on Wikipedia.

In the pic that shows the rear of the car, the Ambassador limo is right next to it.

Yep, that's usually how he has it on display. (His two favorite [and most rare] cars together right at the entrance of his show)

Looks to be the same one as in the first picture. Or its twin. It looks like a '69.

Kinda off the ambasador subject but anyone ever seen pics of this prototype...(http://i1208.photobucket.com/albums/cc377/shanebo79/stolenamxprototype1_resized-thumb1.jpg)

Nope...But I know I don't like it :P
That thing is uuuugggly!!! ::)

Story is...This rare 1967 amx prototype was stolen in Kenosha...never to be seen again...wonder where this one ended up?

Ill bet one of those Ambasador Limos fetches a pretty penny these days!
