Dry at last!

Amc1320:
I have a 78 AMX , most call it a Concord AMX (although AMC didn't )
I found it in a barn last summer and it had been sitting there for over 10 years, it totally all original never molested or restored, 70k original miles
258 auto, AC, and loaded with all the creature comforts
It had gotten parked all those years ago because the PO thought the axle had gone bad due to some terrible noises
I towed it home and discover the axle issue was really just a 10 dollar transmission mount that had disintegrated, probably because of the massive transmission leak!
Turns out the massive tranny leak was the spreedo cable was loose and leaking profusely all over everything
It was also leaking oil like crazy from the valve cover gasket and a few other places
So, fast forward to today, tighten speedo cable, new valve cover gasket, new tranny mount and motor mounts and a tune up (plus removal of ten years of filth) and today it did not leave a single drop of any fluids on my carport!
Well I did run the super cold AC and it left some condensation water, but that doesn't count!
Now I can quit saving cardboard peices to park over, at least for awhile!

Wow! Great to hear that its ready to go with only some minor fixes. I've found these AMCs to be incredibly durable and ready to go with just a little TLC after many years of neglect. Congrats on doing away with the cardboard.
