Eggcrate Grille Paint Question
« on: March 14, 2021, 03:18:27 PM »
I had the grille off to replace the transmission cooler hoses and most of the plastic clips fell apart on me. While repairing them I realized that most of the paint has been weathered off. I want to repaint it but I can't find a good picture showing which parts were originally painted matte black and which areas were silver/fake chrome. Does anyone have a good picture or a really good condition grille they want to share info on?

This is the best I can do. Mine doesn't even have an Eagle grille.

Older thread here I realize but I repainted my grille, I cleaned it, sprayed the whole thing silver, then masked off the raised squares and full border around the outside edge, and then sprayed everything black. Then I peeled the tape off.

I looked at a number of original photos and from what I can tell the inside squares of the grille were originally black or a really dark grey. They all seem to fade to a light grey, however.
