air pump delete

will be moving forward with a Howell TBI smog legal CA install this summer on my 1981 AMC Eagle 4.0 head swapped Kammback.
...will post pix of the process soon!

anyone know how i can delete the air-pump off of the serpentine belt system?

is there an existing idler pulley i can bolt up to its location?

thanks for any help :)

Good question.  My Kammback still has the V-Belts so it was easy enough to just leave the smog pump out of the loop.

This can easily be done.  You just need to lay your hands on the idler pulley setup from a later non-smog-pump serp-belt Eagle (I think '84 and up); plus of course the shorter belt.
