A new '85 Eagle in the nest!
« on: May 31, 2022, 01:43:33 PM »
Hello Eagle Den!  I am excited to introduce myself to this new community now that I can call myself the proud new father of an '85 Eagle!  I'm sure it's not a new story, but I've had the Eagle as a thought in the back of my mind for a number of years now ever since a friend in RI ended up with one as a trade himself.  Occasionally I'd keep the pulse on the local CL classifieds and see them come up now and again but the cars, nor the stage of life, was quite right at the time.  However a few weeks ago the stars must have aligned, I found the bird that is now roosting in my driveway on a close by auction where a bunch of old accumulated vehicles and equipment were being sold off.  I had a feeling about this one after viewing it and decided to throw my had in the ring and see if the Eagle gods were aligned in my favor, as it turns out, they were!  I am now the proud parent of a 1985 Eagle "Sport" and I'm excited to dig in to what it takes to make it soar again.  It has the 5 speed manual which I am excited about and an incredibly rust free and solid undercarriage.  The interior is a bit more "loved" but I'll sort through that in time as well.

So, here is my first post, I'm looking forward to being part of this group of enthusiasts, to learn and share and have fun with this new project.

Thanks for having me in the mix!

Welcome aboard! The 5 speed should be fun, T5s always did me right. Hope it is an easy project to get going again.
