I'm going to toss all the pics I have in here, and when I get the interior pics transferred over I'll put them in here too.

These I had to take for insurance before they would let me have full coverage:

These I just took for fun when I first got it:

I'll drop the interior shots here when I get them all up and ready.

All black Eagles look sharp. Your avatar is quite disturbing, though.  :o

Well, there, I changed my avatar to a corydoras. XD  Cory Catfish, I used to keep a bunch of them.

And as for the wonderful Wisconsin location, I'm in a little place called Neenah.  Ever heard of it? Like that one song.  I was going to put it up here but the board censors the title. LOL

Haha, pretty close on that guess, it's just south of Appleton on the other side of Lake Winnebago, about 50 miles or so from Manitowoc.

Wow, looks almost showroom fresh. Did you have to get it appraised for full coverage?

I just had to send in the pictures showing it didn't have body damage, my insurance company is pretty cool like that.

Got some kind of crappy news today.  I'm not really very good at working on cars, so I took the Eagle in to have the brakes looked at and get the leak diagnosed, and in the process they discovered that the area where the springs bolt on in the back is pretty rusted up, and there are a couple of leaks in the gas tank which they can put on a new tank and straps, but can't find anywhere to get the bolts.

I'm not really sure what to do, so here I am looking for advice about the rust issue.  Can this area be bolstered and fixed before it breaks and ruins everything?  Sorry I don't have any pictures, but I'm sure you guys know what I'm talking about.

EDIT : I apparently also need the front hub assembly for my passenger side.  Not one to be found by regular channels, any advice on that?

Ouch, sorry to hear. Others in the rust belt have had issues in that area. Some fix it but if you can't do it yourself, it might be expensive. As far as the hub goes, you will have to have new bearings put in your hub.

Let me just apologize for my ignorance up front, this is the main reason I sought out and joined this site was for the education I could get here.  The mechanic I have currently working on my Eagle originally had thought to just order bearings, but he said when he went to take it apart it wasn't the hub he thought it would be and he needed to get an entire assembly.  He even called Chrysler and got a part number apparently, but can't find one by any of his normal means.

Is this a typical thing, and if so could you point me to some reference materials so that I might learn how to have this done?  My original intention was to have my friend teach me, but some things have come up that made that not really possible anymore, so I had to hire a mechanic, but if it's a job that can be easily explained/demonstrated, I am always willing to learn.

Thanks for the link,  I'm pretty horrible at searching forums for what I'm actually looking for so I really appreciate it.

Do you mean the bolts that hold the straps that hold up the gas tank?

You can actually make some from threaded rod like you would get at the hardware store, just make a bend in the end to hang in the hole up there.

Also I think you can use some from a jeep cherokee if you have access to a junkyard, they might need a little modification but I think they can be made to work.

One of my rear spring areas was all rusted out, my car was originally from New Jersey, we welded in some new steel and it's now much stronger than it very was.

Good luck keep us posted, beautiful eagle you got there
