Off topic / Retaining and Gaining Members and Moderation Help
« Last post by 89 MJ on March 26, 2024, 10:39:56 PM »
Its too bad that we are living in the decline of forums due to other social media platforms. I know that I am newer hear, but I am not new to forums. I have been over on Comanche Club for almost 6 years at this point, which has had a steady number of members in that time. This leads me to have a couple questions for the moderation team:
1. I see that lots of subforum moderators have not been active in months, if not years. Do you need help moderating? I could moderate a few subforums.
2. Is there anything that we can do to help grow the population of this site? There is way more information here than on Facebook, it just doesn't seem to get a ton of eyes on it. I have some ideas, but I don't want to be stepping on anyone's toes here either.

Check this out:

Also, you will need to use the 4.0 flywheel/flexplate as the Jeep ECU gets its crank signal from the flywheel.

Visitors and Guests / 4.0 engine swap in 88 eagle
« Last post by Dcorbin88 on March 19, 2024, 11:15:03 AM »
Hello everyone, I need some help with my 88 eagle!
I'm trying to do the 4.0 engine swap. I have the engine bolted up to the tranny and t-case, I had ro use the 4.2 flywheel and torque converter but my issue is with the motor mounts! I can't get the ones to the frame fit in properly... I know the 3rd mount to the axle I have to build myself and it's almost complete but I can't do that until I get the motor bolted into the other mounts to measure the distance that I need to fabricate my new mounts. Is there a trick I'm missing?
I also would like to use the jeep wire harness any advice on that would be helpful as well.

Made a priming tool and tried to get dead lifters up...

Two dead lifters came up, but pressure sank when drill stopped... Oil water mixture look yammy...

Time to choose a new motor.

Found one.

It took some time to get it to downstairs.

It is in...

That used to be in my Sport Eagle.

Eagle has deeper oil pan, but it fits well to Concord.

Maybe the last weld...

Front suspension going together.

...shock tower...

Engine bay is done...

Front suspension done.

Minor jobs left.

Brakes are still old, new calibers are coming soon.

Eagle wheels needed spacers. Put winter tires, because I´m going to drive this outside as soon as possible.

Fits well...

Fenders...

Now it is roofing time. Some calculating had to be done.

4 cm smaller than it used to be.

New vinyl coming together.

Testing... not bad.

Glued seams, so these bacame flat...

If you decide to use the piece of exhaust pipe in the fuel filler hose setup, make sure you remove the label!

There was someone working on some CNC machined hinges but haven't heard anything lately. https://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=5341124069255638&set=pcb.2139074879584190&__cft__[0]=AZVTJYdbdv1cNfpqubhy6xQPPUN7_KtDbrIhmcI9r1QKIu_rl0hNm1huJ8nQpMJZ4Q64WCB87dms4nH_kb9EwHKp-qSda_umb6izwO7knBga7-qNKkh-r8-qL5erJjA_LAOk35sWJM1B2T6Q3kQMpimDqBQnfInT9yHH0DSxYRIBjcSefoN1QuRubHgPcDbkgk0&__tn__=*bH-R
