I don't think that having an eagle with you will be a necessity for a meet, would make it a little nicer though ;D

I wouldn't mind swapping some parts and commiserating. I'm near Pittsburgh, but have no idea where to suggest.

an option could be the parking lot at the palisades mall in NY, it has lots of space so we wont be in anyones way, and ive seen a wagon there a few times, yet to meet the owner

This could be fun if we ever have spring.  Have 2+ feet out in the drive and I plowed lastnight!

shaggimo

Crazy storm eh? lol, I couldn't believe how much we got last night  :o . I should have left my swampers on, the little bfgs made the jeep work a little hard on the way into work this morning (some of the roads weren't plowed yet) :rotfl:. Here's a little pic of what we got.

It's been a long time since we got hit this hard just overnight, haha. Someday spring will arrive, lol.
Just think until yesterday, the snow was about gone (just to give others an idea of how much we got).

WOW , you guys got hammered !! WE got the torrential rain till it turned to ice during the night and only maybe 2-3" of snow now.........needless to say the SX/4 goes nowhere in 2WD , so I did the manual front axle lock this morning and the manual 9/16" wrenth Tcase lock, and away I went.Only driven it a couple miles today but it works fine.A little bit confused, as if there is no vacumm to the actautor it fails into axle lock anyways....so why even have to add that clamp or whatever ??All my lines are gone , either melted or missing, so it is 100% manual for now.

shaggimo

I don't know whether it's the same for eagles, but I know jeeps will disengage from the locked position if the clamp isn't there to hold it in (seems to do it right when you need it to work  :rotfl:).

I was up your way Saturday and saw how the snow had melted there.  Down here we still had more than a foot on the lawn before the snow yesterday and today.  We now have about 3.5'.  I have some banks 9' tall!  I apparently broke my camera yesterday so when I tried to get a few pics a bit ago got a little upset and just put it away.  I'll take some with the cell tomorrow.  Our Husky was standing tall on her bank as she likes to be queen, so I'll get pic her too!

I was thinking...... :rotfl:..... I know; scary, hahaha. Since no one else has mentioned a where, there is/was? a huge junkyard in Maine, NY (maybe 20 miles south of Whitney Point).
By huge I mean,    :o :eyepopping: :faint: :hypnotise: :hyper: I haven't been there in about 7 years or so, but last time it took me two saturday morning to walk the *most* of the yard, it's all old stuff. I can't varify whether it has any amc products or anything close. Of course I would do a drive by some weekend prior to make sure they are still up and running and what their hours are. Think of it this way, a couple groups can cover much more of the yard quicker, and if anything comes up of anyone elses interest, communicate via cell phone or send a pic. Yes a lot of walking but it's a thought. Then after yard raid find somewhere to eat? If I remember right they are only open til noon on saturdays :P.

That sounds cool Shag.  Maybe I could ride along on the scouting trip before hand.  It's been a while since I've been through Whitney Point and I don't think I have ever heard of this yard either.  Let me know if you decide anything.

I never got the pics either.  Now we have had a lot of rain and the snows going again.  I could get some pics of the flooded river behind the house though.  We'll see as they won't come out well with a cell.

shaggimo

Cool sounds good to me. It was a fluke that I know about that yard too, I was on my way to Binghamton to go to the yard there. On my way down rt26, I stopped and looked at a malibu that was for sale (since I was looking for malibu parts), talking to the owner for a couple minutes, I mentioned where I was going. He told me not to waste my time and go to this other yard instead, and gave me directions lol.

For you PA guys, Maine ,NY is about 30-45 minutes north of the PA/NY Border in case you're wondering how far. Any one else with ideas or thoughts? Or agree with the idea?
