After a few hours cleaning I found this and put it in an '84 Wagon. Does anyone know what is supposed to attach to the bracket thats welded onto the top middle of the valve cover?

There is a vacuum line assembly that goes there I think.

Here are a couple pictures of  my 1980 engine.  I believe the engine is pretty stock and very complete.  There is nothing attached to that bracket on my engine.

But nothing attached. As a side note what is attached to the bracket above the PS pump?
