Vacuum switch swap to electrical
« on: August 25, 2022, 09:58:29 AM »
Ok, am just a bit bored waiting for my engine block to comeback from the shop.

I have an electrical valve for my heater control, has anyone done something like that with the transfer case? Lock the front diff and control the TC electrically instead of with vacuum. Google has not helped.

I think someone brought up this idea in a thread several years ago but I don't think it got much traction.  Good luck!

Every conversion I have seen so far has either been to permanently lock the SelectDrive on or replace the controls with manual pull cables.

I am looking at a solenoid or linear actuator setup and locking the front axle into 4WD mode. All it has to do is move the leaver that actuates the transfer case.
