Useing the spare tire compartment as a safe.
« on: April 20, 2022, 06:14:19 AM »
Has anyone fashioned some sort of lock for the spare tire compartment in the floor if the wagon, thinking of making it a secure storage area.
Looking for ideas other than just bolting a padlock onto it.

That actually was an option on the Eagle (and other AMC) wagons.

Wow really! That's neat that even back then they had that. Must have been a dealer-installed thing I'm guessing, I haven't seen it on any build sheets.

Was both a factory option, and a dealer-installed thing.  Lock also shows in the parts books.
