my 85 has an owners manual for the 84 model year judging by the radio, and transfer case sections. not sure if it was stock or not. the engine is also date codded as an 84. My 87 Comanche also has the metric threads, and uses the same filter as the 258 did in 1990.  I'm wondering if the changed connectors for the radio in 85, as mine is different from what I've seen 86-87 jeeps equipped with, but it is a DIN style radio.

My 81 has a floor mounted high beam switch, where as my 86 has it on the turn signal stalk. Not sure when the change was made or if it has something to do with non tilt vs tilt wheel.

My 80 with a tilt steering wheel has it on the floor, my 81 with non-tilt has it on the turn signal stalk.

My 1980 is the only one with a high beam switch on the floor. All of my 1981 Eagles are on the stalk.
