Look this.......

It's the transportation of a pretty heavy Fishery Patrol Boat. The Eagle did this job very well. It's a shot with my telephone so, not very high quality.

I feel sorry for the transmission though....

good to see you made it over here to the den A-A EAGLE and the Eagle still looks awesome. the rear doesn't even appear to be squatting under the load of that boat.

A-A EAGLE

Thank you Maddog and BAHuys.  Great to be back on the forum too. The trailer with boat had a weight of something like 1500kg (3300lbs or so). Stressing the tranny depends on the weight of your right foot. With trailer like this I am driving pretty calm and not trying to win races at traffic lights.... I have to confess that I have used the compressor to put a bit of air in the shocks. Anjo

Cool pic

When I was a kid my parents had a hornet Sportabout wagon with a 258 six , we hauled a camper loaded with stuff all over the place, even long trips of hundreds of miles.

Never had a problem with the engine or the transmission. Didn't break any land speed records but it sure did pull a load without complaint

He traded it for a chebbie caprice after several years cause it had a v8, it didn't pull nearly as well as the hornet and was lots of trouble. My dad wishes to this day he had never gotten rid of that hornet.
