For quick reference, this would be the appropriate place to note that Eagles have 5 on 4.5 lug pattern with 4.5 backspace.

Just a word of caution, I found out the hard way that, sometimes, the advertised  back space is not the same as the actual  back space, so when buying new wheels, always measure first, before you mount them

6" on the stock steel wheels.  And, I believe 7" for the factory alloys.

Hey guys.. lets get some photos posted in this thread specifically showing off how an Eagle looks with the non-factory wheels you've installed. Now, just some game rules here. We don't need 27 wagons with the Cherokee 10 Spoke aluminum wheels. Just one (sorry I'm posting mine for that one). What we do need is one picture of each style of car (2 door, 4 door, Wagon, SX-4, Kammback) with those wheels and any other wheels that you have swapped onto your Eagle. Just gives future Den members (and current ones looking for new ideas) a look at how their body style will look with a particular wheel. A little info would be appreciated with what the wheel came off (year/model) and tire size you are running just for comparison sake.

So here's the first. 1983 Eagle Wagon, Early/Mid 80's XJ Cherokee/Wagoneer/Commanche, 7" wide,  10 spoke Aluminum rims. 215/70-15 tires.

guess i am a member after all. these are late 80s/early 90s wrangler wheels, probably found on early xjs or comanches as well. 15x6, same specs as factory eagle steelies so it's a direct fit but with center caps instead of wheel covers. tires are 235/75/15 with an approximate 3" lift.

They should work, but will also depend on your tire size and how good your suspension is.  I'm running some wheels right now with a negative offset, I ended up using some 215/65-15 tires to eliminate rubbing up front.

I really dislike the way photo bucket has hurt all the forums...

Looking for a set of upgrades for my project, and positive offset options are sparse....I was looking at aftermarket zero mm offset, any one able to confirm results?

I was looking at something like:

I can say I tried zero offset with 215/75R15 BFG tires and they hit horribly. Stock Jeep Turbines (5" backspace) are much better.

Hey, all!

I am working on something that may blow this discussion wide open. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. U.S. Mags manufactures custom wheels. Their Vintage Forged line are manufactured in two pieces and welded together. They are all 6061 T-6 aluminum, but the centers are forged and CNC machined, while the rims are spun forged. That means they can put the centers where needed to create any backspace/offset you want! At least that's what I'm hoping.

They only work through dealers, so use their form to find one near you. I'm waiting to hear back on a set of Z16 - U401s in the stock 15"x6" 25mm offset.

If this works out, you will see pics of my smiling face next to gleaming polished wheels.

That's not outrageous in the world of custom wheels, but a bit steep for me. I will have to save a few more pennies to afford them, but the takeaway here is that you can get custom wheels that will fit without modifications.
