Link to AMX Files. May also be valid for '87 & '88.

sweet! Good info there
-
I will be putting the '87 and '88 decoders in the Eaglepedia since they are contained in the Information Supplements.
-
I think the link to the amxfiles is a bit dead now.
Thanks to the AMC VIN decoder, my Eagle is free of road tax (+25 years old) since Juli 1st.
It was first put on the road in 1987, and that was on the title.
So I proved that it was made between August 1982 and Juli 1983, and they accepted.
Made a letter for Debby Zaleska too and that was accepted as well.

May have found a nice replacement:

Hmmm, that is too bad. Guess we will have to link to our own AMC Eaglepedia.

Hey my decoder ring is not working!!!!
-
We have one in the Eaglepedia. I decoded it for you in your other post.
-
why does my 4 door wagon decode as a
[38] Eagle MPV 2 door wagon
???
Then again, I've never seen a 2 door wagon. :-\
-
Error from the authors of the chart. AMC had two door wagons, but not of the Eagle variety.
-
I decoded my vin and it says that my car under transmisson/transfer case/transaxle is Auto/Full Time. what does that mean? its a 1987 Eagle.
-
Automatic transmission with a transfer case that you can use on any road service in either mode. All Eagles were so equipped.
