Transfer Cases and Axles
(1/1)
89 MJ:
From my experiences with Jeeps and Eagles, I have acquired a considerable amount of knowledge about NP231Js, NP128s, NP129s, NP228s, NP229s, and I have a fair bit of knowledge about NP242s, NP241Cs, and NP207s when it comes to interchangeability and years where differences occurred.
I also have a sound understanding of various rear axle swaps along with the workings of the CAD axle disconnect system in the front axles of some of our Eagles.
Feel free to reach out and I can provide support.

Thanks for the offer to help. I know I struggle with understanding all the options available - especially when is it time to switch to a different transfer case because your viscous coupler is shot!

Thanks MJ, that why I need to visit here more often. I have a 1981 SW, 6cyl,auto all stock, with no selector (AWD allways). Is it a NP129 or a NP119? Thanks again

Sounds like you have an NP119.
