Is alternator clock position important?
« on: July 14, 2019, 03:24:08 PM »
I am considering this alternator as an upgrade to my current soon-to-fail one:  It has its connectors in the 12 o'clock position, as opposed to my current alternator's 9 o'clock position.

I have read various advice to always match the 'clock position' of an replacement alternator's connections to the existing one, but I don't see why this would be important on the Eagle.  There's plenty of room and plenty of slack in the wires.

Am I missing something?  Anyone ever had a problem installing a 12 o'clock alternator in their Eagle?
