84 Eagle Air Cleaner

Hi my 84 eagle is 95 % stock, what is the sensor that pokes out out of the air cleaner towards the passenger side that looks like a small two pronged electrical plug. thanks gz

That might be a temperature controlled vacuum switch for the emission system.   When the engine warms up, the switch opens/closes vacuum going through the system.  Historically a problematic system, as a vacuum leak anywhere causes poor idle and other problems.   Check eaglepedia for info.

I find this site helpful when trying to figure out the Eagle system. It's pretty much the same.
