Sorry about the "all caps deal" didn't even notice it for some reason - I'm well versed in the fact that caps are "yellling" ---- it's a no-no and i should nrever do it - again sorry
and - yesterday I threw a piece of tin foil in my microwave too - what's my world coming to

I have done this before, and it is probably one of the easiest transmissions to rebuild.   A kit will cost less than $100.

It's too bad $hipping is a b! I have my 998 core posted locally for $50 and only hear from Scammers so far.
AMC/Jeep gauges are for amusement only. Any correlation between them and reality is purely coincidental!

Easy to tell the difference between the early and later crank flanges. Early one will be flat across the diameter. The later will look  like any other manufactures crank flange. Will have raised section to support the end of the torque converter. The early version had just a pilot bushing which work on both Manuel and auto transmissions.
