Sure dose look like there was a lot of rust on the sub frame and the fender, but from the first pictures you posted here you did a great job restoring them.
Did you just do a restoration on the parts or did you all so reinforce them?

From looking at all this worke, I'm starting to think we need to figure how to get our forum top builders together and have them desing the same type of frame that was use for the AMC Sundancer and a lift kit for our AMC Eagles.

BTW... Are there any pics where Sundancers modifications are shown? I wonder what kind of subframe connectors there are, and what else... How does roll bar look without plastic (fiberglass) cover? And so on...

Somewhere around here we have partial pictures.  Too bad we could not get an underbody drawing.  In their advertising it stated it was a 14 piece affair.

Back to (Wagon) business...

After many hours of welding there was no gap between frame and fender. Inner fender (with battery holder) is from 70 Hornet.

And I was able to bolt on (cleaned and painted or renewed) suspension parts. If you paint parts with cast iron paint, black or silver, they look like new. Pink coil springs, they are my "trademark". I´ve painted them pink for fun, starting year 1988 (and car was my Volvo 142).
