New to the site, not AMC or Eagles, though. Was a member of the Eagle's nest back in the day before it closed shop.

My first car was a 1981 two door coupe that, admittedly, I kinda molested; but I was a dumb kid that didn't really know what I had on my hands. Originally, it was factory blue, but I painted it black, and removed the back opera windows and had sheet metal welded in. Fun car, but once I got married, we were strapped for cash so my wife, so graciously, asked if I would sell it....so I did. Needless to say, if you bought an Eagle in PA, and trailered it back to VA, and it was just a rat trap, first I'd like to say I'm sorry. lol Second, I'd love to see what condition it is in today. how she sat when I sold her.

On to my new car. I got the bug again, and started looking for an Eagle for sale. I found a one owner, four door sedan three hours away from me for $1,200. The car has been taken care of very well over the years. Anyway, six hour trip, one flat trailer tire, almost losing a trailer ramp on the highway, and $1,200 poorer I am now a proud AMC owner again.

Getting the car up to snuff is my first priority. Car starts and runs fine, albeit, the carb will need some cleaning and adjusting. Driver side front wheel bearing is shot, and I've already started tearing into that. Driver side front fender seems to have been in a small accident so I'll need to tackle that and the vinyl top has caused rust in the usual places, so I will have to deal with that. Plenty of projects to keep me busy for a while, but I guess slow and steady wins the race[/URL]img] Here's what I'm working with.

Trying to figure out how to post pics you'd think a "yound kid" would know how to work this stuff....
