1988 k5 blazer frame and a 1981 amc eagle wagon 4 door on top you do the math. LOL

Thanks alot its taken some time but we are getting it done, one step at a time. I originally just wanted to mod the original 258 (maybe a stroker 4.0

) but unfortunately there was no saving this eagle it had some bad cancer but Someone made a suggestion to find a frame to strengthen her up so thats what we did.....I'm sort of glad, I sort of saved it from the crusher

I am sure there is someone on here that has a better frame fit than the blazer frame. I have to be honest its not a direct bolt on LOL We are going to have to repin the leaf springs and slide the rear axle back about 2-3 inches also with that extend the drive shaft but all in due time.

If I am not mistaken I remember reading that a jeep Jk frame is like a direct fit for an Sx-4 almost perfect match

Thats a great way to save an Eagle whose structural integrity has been ravaged by rust....Plus its like saving 2 cars at once!!...Il bet one of the very early broncos would make be a possible donor candidate for this conversion too.

Well you wouldn't destroy a brand new jeep, ya get one thats been damaged. Car fire would probably be the best donor.

personally id rather destroy a jeep in favor of a cool eagle. i like jeeps but given the option and if i had the cash i would certainly tear down a brand new jeep to put an eagle wagon on it.

I agree 100% about not wrecking an Eagle, but I think it was said somewhere that the Eagle was beyond saving.

Ive often fatasized about dropping an eagle body on top of a late model Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 chasis/drive train.

Sounds good but we are a little cash strapped so the tires are going to have to wait.

Indeed Jim this eagle's frame rails were beyond saving. I would never destroy a perfectly good eagle for sake of making an off road animal LOL There weren't many solutions for this bird this was the best I could come up with.

I think the GC SRT8 is unibody like the eagle, so in theroy you could put that drivetrain in an eagle

Finished some wiring today and got some much needed painting done. Still need to address the brakes. I am also looking at a shifter I like from B&M

I really like this shifter Because it has the look and feel of a manual tranny but its automatic. And its priced fairly at $120.00 which is perfect for this project.

I know I know I should have gone to CvS picked up the 35 MM disposable camera, took the pictures.........developed the pictures............bought a scanner...........figured out how to use the scanner and about 2 months later you guys could have had some Pictures to look at. LOL
