Ditto.  Just watching my car covers flap around in the wind from Harvey.   No shingles gone yet!!    I'm way up high on the Devil's Backbone ridge; so buckets of rain are not a worry.

Not sure what we can do to liven things up.  Outlaw Facebook?

hey, c'mon guys, it's ALL GOOD!, there are few of us, but there are still enough of us to remain a community. Remember, there are fewer and fewer Eagles out there every year. That.s not what we wish, but that is the reality. So, growth, or "GROWTH". in the capitalist sense is not an option for us.. There will be, in the fullness of time, fewer and fewer, Eagles. and Eagle owners out there. Just like there are fewer and fewer Corvair owners, fewer and fewer Nash owners, etc. It comes with the territory. The newest Eagle is now an honest 30 years old, and the best that can be said, is that that there are STILL, a few running around as just regular used cars.  What we are seeing is the decline of "new" Eagle owners, mostly casual types, who bought an old rusted, hacked Eagle, and hope that with a few wise words, we can get their car to run "like new"! Well, we know that is not possible, but, hey, we try! right?
Point is, we are still here, the few, the proud, the weird....and hopefully we will be here for a while longer, (I'm 57).
good luck y'all, gz

Hey guys, don't give up yet - I need you! I've only been in the Eagle game for about a year, but I am really having fun with it.  Except that oil pan job, that stunk.  ;)

One thing I noticed when I was reading through all the old project threads is that they mostly end sadly.  Folks will post a bunch about their awesome work, and then suddenly announce they are selling or moving on.  I guess that's just the reality of life, and let's face it these cars are on the fringe which makes restoration tough and likely unprofitable.

Not sure what we can do to find more members, but I for one will keep posting about my project.  It hasn't scared me away yet, or I'm too stubborn to give up.

I stop by once in awhile, mostly keep on the FB side. I do like being able to come by and re-read posts regarding parts and how to's. I should create a step-by-step on my current project.
I'm pulling apart a 95 Cherokee for a now updated 83 wagon.

I just deleted that Russian post - was a sales spiel.   I guess the Ruskies are interested in us!!    My fun for the day.

My wife uses the Eagle as a daily driver.
I'm new here... Bought our Eagle a few months back because my wife wanted "something different" to drive.  I wanted to buy a Wrangler or CJ for her but she said that she didn't want to meet herself at every intersection in town.  So far we have made many changes and upgrades to personalize what we now call our "Beagle" and we plan to keep it in tip top condition.    I will be around this forum for a good long while.

Hello,
I also am not dead yet  :o :o ... I still visit the site often, though don't login unless I have something to say.  I still have 7 Eagles in the yard with hopes of driving one again soon. This site cannot be duplicated and is a valuable asset to all its members and those who visit here.
Regards to all, Iron Horse :o

It's a period of transition for sure. I am involved with several hobbies, and all are in the same boat. I also work healthcare IT, folks just don't pull out a computer and browse forums any more, they use phones and want everything pushed, where a forum is more of a pull. For us older folks who were used to looking up things in encyclopedias and card catalogs, we are used to pulling information, but this is a different era....

hey not all of us younger folk do that, I'm in my mid-30s and I know how to search for stuff (I even know how to use the card catalog).

This site is awesome and is still very much alive. But like a elderly person, its sometimes a little slow. I have learned a bunch on here in the 5 months since getting my car last November.  Great archival info. Cudos to the mods!

I was just about to say- this is a quiet forum. I am a member of many forums, including the AMC Forum. It's always lively over there, but it's very, very quiet here. I wonder why that is. It makes me worry that there are not many running Eagles out there or many people doing things with them.

This is still the best place to research issues / or upgrades on our cars. The wealth of info here is fantastic. Need to remind people on the Facebook pages to be sure and join the forum and Eaglepedia. I constantly use the forum pages to answer peoples questions on Facebook

I've been absent for a while. I'm happy to see these pages are still on the 'net. I still have my 84 wagon, it still runs but it's developed a horrible oil leak and time to repair hasn't presented itself.  Best regards to all of you!

I usually check it every morning to see if there's anything new, but most of my time is on spacebook. Don't really have a whole lot to say, but enjoy reading what everyone else is up to.
