Title: 1980 Wagon - Denver
Post by: vangremlin on March 29, 2014, 04:32:01 PM
There is a 1980 wagon that just arrived at the LKQ junkyard at 61st and Federal.  I pulled a bunch of 1980 specific trim for Captspillane, a brake pedal for rollguy, and pulled the hatch hinges to sell.  Let me know if you're interested in the hinges.

That tilt steering column might be nice to grab! I don't need anything from the car, just making an observation. -Matt.

I could use the drivers side mirror for my concord. My is cracked from hail damage last year. I would so appreciate it if you go back. That has been hard for me to find, in that style.

The glass in the driver's mirror is broken, otherwise looked like it was in good shape.

Headlight buckets and surrounds. Turn signal lenses and light sockets. I am thinking I need.

Any idea on price & shipping on the rear bumper (with endcaps & brackets) and possibly front endcaps?

Also, hard to tell in the pics but if those are Marchal fog lights they'd be worth snagging and the rear deflector too.

Those are not Marchal Fogs. I was going to mention that so no one got too excited.

The 80 trim looks in great shape. Capt is going to be happy! Interesting wheels on that thing too.

Van, if you ever come across a Sport model I'd love the two sport emblems for the front fenders so I can turn mine into a "Sport" :)

I might have a couple of those laying around.  Where, now that's another question lol

I have to ask because it is hard to tell in the pictures but how do the doors on the driver side look as well as the passenger front door? also how is the driver front fender?

As far as I remember, all the doors are fine, along with the driver front fender.  I pulled the front fender flares to go to Captspillane, along with the aluminum trim on the front doors.  The car has been repainted at some point.  The driver's window is broken out, currently some plexiglass in it.

Looks like the bumper itself is around $50, end caps would be another $15, shipping ???.  Front endcaps are gone.  Rear deflector is built into the roof rack.

What car do you need the bumper for?  I only remember you having an SX/4, bumpers on the wagon are different.

Did you notice whether or not it had intermittent wipers?

:faint: Doh! Glad you caught that. Been so busy lately I must've not been thinking straight.

Were the endcaps in good, useable condition?

One of the rear end caps was not in that good of shape, I'd rate it a C. I tried to get the other end cap off, and was unsuccessful.  It was on there good!!!

Seems like some do tend to weld themselves on lol.
Not a huge deal I guess, just planning on having some spares.
Thank you Van  :)

Yeah, I was wrenching on the nuts on the end cap good - almost lifting the back end up.  And was not making any progress....
