Title: Reproduction Parts
Post by: IowaEagle on January 15, 2014, 09:32:45 AM
This was shared on FB.  These are reproduction parts sold in Mexico.  I have asked Marco if they ship to the US.  You need to click on the Rambler button to view them.  http://www.mirsa-mx.com/

I wonder if those prices are US dollars or in Mexican currency.  I looked at the HL buckets and WOW, if dollars they do not give them away. $117.17 each.  HL surrounds are a whole lot too.

Considering it's on a Mexican sight and for a company based out of Mexico City I would think that the prices were in Pesos...but that's just a guess.

If that's the case then... $1 USD equals $13MXN

Makes the headlight buckets $13...plus whatever shipping might be. If they'll even ship to the states.

I have asked Marco (Eagler) if he can find out if they ship to the US.   If those buckets are only about $13 each, then that might be a good deal.

I sent an email to the contact info on the site and got a very quick response (I got a followup email that he accepts Paypal):

Hello Dave, the prices are in Pesos and i take the rate of the day to give you a price in US DOLLARS, but let me know which items do you need.  The shipment goes by FedEx to your adress in the UNITED STATES.  David

I wonder if he would make a run of Spirit style front turn signals, with the clear plastic.

How about grilles and the elusive round marker lights?  Oh the list we could send him.

There is a member on Evo that has been experimenting with making the round marker lights. I would post a link to the thread, but I'm on mobile browser right now, and copying and pasting is hard to perform on it

Yeah me too! Following with interest. Will be interesting to see what the headlight surrounds cost would be shipped and the quality as well.Would be nice for a better picture and a little more info. Don't need the buckets as yet but wouldn't mind a spare set but the headlight surrounds I could be really interested in.

Terry at the Rambler Ranch ordered some of the parts and I had a chance to look at them yesterday.  While they are not A+ in quality, they are definitely better than the 30+ year old parts you find in the junkyard.  The prices are reasonable, although shipping is not cheap, according to Terry.  I hope a few people order from him, then he may be interested in getting a vendor in the US.
