:help:Has anyone had any success repacing the chrome strip inside of the rubber side moulding..mine are shot..I was thinkin of getting a role of that stick on chrome siding and cutting it into strips then remove the old chrome and puting these strips into the channel.

I have heard if you go to an auto store such as O'Rielly, they have and sell the 3m chrome strips that you cut and go in there. You could also try some auto body shops.  They will measure it out and order up for you!

the old ones can  be glued, or even some good double sided tape would secure them just fine.

I've been thinking of trying good old genuine metal duct tape.   Its cheap, and its peel-and-stick with decent glue.

Also think it would be neat to use silver reflective mylar tape; like you see on the side of a semi.

I think that would look real cool...especially at night!! can you buy just the silver reflective tape with out the alternating red stripes in it? Cuz that might just be a very cool alternative!!!! 8)

I might have to hit some truck stops and take a look!

Yeah; I've seen silver-only 3M brand 1" x 36" and 2" x 36" at both parts houses and hardware stores.
