Never saw that before.  Thanks for posting that.  I took a copy of that page to keep.  anyone wanting that page converted into .pdf form, I can do that.

His and our numbers on the totals for the Kammback, the 2 door, and the 4 door match.  and some of the production year numbers match.  don't forget, I took this from our numbers that members or admins posted.

Looks like his site hasn't been updated since about 1999.  and he does state that his number are 'more or less'.

Yes, I need to get in touch with him, again, to see if we can archive his info.  I think he said he could, but now I forget.

The figures I got say that there were only 3 Eagle Sundancer Convertibles made and about 200 Concord Sundancer Convertibles, and no I can't confirm that, but they are the best figures I'm aware of. LRDaum

We have seen more than 3 different Eagle Sundancer's here, either for sale or in the hands of members.  I too have heard the 200 figure for the Concords with the Eagle number being higher.  But of course, no confirmation on any of those figures.

...I wonder why the SX/4 dropped in interest so much

so, with the #'s you posted, how do i find out how RARE an '83 sx4 is that has power locks, and a rear wiper? i havent even seen pics of an sx4 with a rear wiper....
I have seen an SX/4 with a rear wiper, but I must say I don't think very many were produced.  I would say that's pretty rare, as for numbers...you got me...no clue, but I would say pretty rare indeed...

I have seen them with rear wipers, Not sure about the power locks.

I don't think you are ever gonna find out just how rare this or that model is with this or that options.  AMC kept poor records on those things.

Too bad, huh?

Being as sporty as they were Im kinda suprised that they didnt grab more interest too. As far as early 80's body styles went I think they were just as sporty as the mustangs, Z cars, and supras of the time. 8)

I made one of these back in 1996. : )
1987 seems to be the one with the most descrepancies. I've seen totals of 4546, 4564, and 5203 and now these.
My table differs with the 81 SX4s - 17340 vs 17390 and 85 wagons - 13535 vs 13353. Typos?

Im sure AMC took most of its records "to the grave"...especially the variant vehicle records....Ill bet there is a former AMC pencil pusher somewhere who could help us out but god knows where he or she is.

Ain't that the truth...  I wouldn't be surprised if you were right on, but in order to 'find' this person, I bet we'd almost have to resort to running TV/radio/billboard ads to find them.

It's kinda sad, and exciting at the same time.   Not knowing the info is kinda sad, but if we could discover it, (find this 'pencil pusher') boy oh boy, would that be exciting...  Well, it would be great.......  helpful........ interesting...........

Ok, I need to start going outside more.   I hear it's summer out now, is that true?    :rotfl:
