88 Eagle Titles
« on: April 30, 2011, 09:37:27 PM »
For those who own an 88 Eagle I am curious how the title reads.  Is the manufacturer listed as AMC, American or Chrysler Corp?  Or maybe something else or some are one way and others another?  I remember my 88 Jeep pickups titled as AMC.

Thanks

Great question, it will be interesting to see what does show up on titles.  The cars were sold under the American Motors Sales Corporation.   Here is a link to to a Eagle Archives Board for 1988:  http://forums.amceaglenest.com/index.php?topic=8830.0

A bit off topic, but when I first titled and licensed the '80 Concord it came back as an American Camper.  Apparently the old VIN's are out of the computer system in Iowa so they just picked the first American anything that came up.  I did get it corrected, which they did not like as it is something they have to do "manually".
