Post by: Taylor on August 02, 2018, 10:53:57 AM
On Monday August 6 the web site will be down for approx 3 hours while the hosting company performs a upgrade.
Thanks for your patience and understanding.

Thanks for the heads up Taylor and for keeping us modern!

I might add that I understand our current page design is no longer available, so after the upgrades, the site will have a slightly different look.  Don't be alarmed, you'll be in the right place!!

So what's getting an upgrade?  Are they swapping in fuel injection?  Maybe a heavy duty rear axle?  V8 swap?   ;D

Hey, I like the looks of the new upgrades!  Not quite as awesome as a V8 swap, but looks good nonetheless.  Thanks potent357!

I like the new look.  It's a lot easier to see the subforums with new messages.  Sometimes with the old small icons it was too easy to scroll right by.

On my laptop at home, running probably an older version of chrome, it looked like this.  But on my computer at work, it looks perfect.  The version here is  Version 67.0.3396.99, I'll have to double check what I'm running at home.

Try clearing your history and stored web data.
Sometimes this clears up some problems.

Just a thought. Could we get a button next to our profile pic in the lighter blue that says  new items for sale.?Otherwisise its only in the white bubble in the darker blue. I remember a time back when our previous layout confused a bunch of people. Or maybe merge the new items for sale with the unread posts button to take away confushion. I do not know the reasoning to split the two back when it was split.

It would be nice to get the "items for sale" merged back into just the unread posts.  I think the items for sale got split out as a result of the Facebook page becoming popular but don't know that for sure.  Thanks!

I think another helpful thing would be to find an easy way to include pictures.  Maybe I'm just slow and others have already figured this out, because obviously others are posting pictures.  The solutions I have seen to date include multi-step processes that involve editing the URL of the photos, or moving it to another area in the web hosting site, or ???

I know we have the ability to include attachments, but the size is limited so again there are multiple steps involved to get the photos posted.

Maybe we can get the website to allow larger photos?  Or if anybody has figured out a simple method to link to a photo hosting website so the photos actually show up and not the links, it would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry for the whining lol
