86 eagle turn signal issue
« on: November 22, 2020, 08:15:41 AM »
My 86 Eagle wagon (daily driver) is having a wierd turn signal issue. All the bulbs (and icon on dash) blink faster than usual (the way they do when a bulb is bad. But all the bulbs are good, also does the same thing wen I turn on the hazard lights. Two days ago I replaced the water pump and all of the belts, yesterday night this started happening. Any idea what could be wrong?

The flasher may be bad. It's located up under the dash on the driver's side. Kind of underneath the VIN. It's not easy to get to but a small hand helps.

Since both flashers are acting the same way; probably a bad bulb.  They can sometimes go bad where they still light up, but draw a lot of extra juice and make the flasher go berserk.

Found out it was in fact the flasher, all fixed now after going in through the 4x4 switch
