Hey MIPS, what the verdict?
Did you end up replacing them again?
Lessons learned? Etc?

I am most likely going down this rabbit hole soon myself so most likely need to order from rareparts are well and pray they still make them.

Cheers

RareParts is currently out of stock of the Eagle lower ball joint (their P/N 10492), but they're listing for $191.75/piece for when they are presumably back in stock.  I have an extra NOS pair for sale and have had them listed here for some time with no one biting.

I thought I had one but when I found it, it's for the right side. Must be someone here who has one for sale.

Body Shop / Hornet/ Concord/ Eagle liftgate hinges
« Last post by rshellen on February 18, 2024, 01:04:42 PM »
Just picked up a 1975 Hornet Sportabout wagon and yesterday and unfortunately ended up with a broken driver's side hinge on the liftgate.
1. looking for replacement hinges, understand they a hard to come by
2. while searching I ran across am post of someone making replacements from a model, however I didn't see a final post how that worked out -anyone Know if that thread finished.

Thanks

Another option is to do hydro boost http://forums.amceaglesden.com/index.php?topic=43869.msg353694#msg353694

Now that is an interesting idea I never considered before!!!!!
looks like a great idea.

Thanks for sending me down another rabbit hole!!!! hehe

Show more pics of your car - looks great!  :)

I'm a Mopar guy myself, although I do not own a Mopar at this moment.
My last project was in 2017 - rebuilt a 76 Power Wagon that was already ~70% completed.

Cheers and welcome to the forum.

I'd like to have this vehicle set as a daily driver and would feel very comfortable knowing the entire brake system was new or at least rebuilt.

I will most likely have a professional run the new gas and brake lines, but figured I can probably replace the brake booster and master cylinder myself.

I didn't think about that push rod adjustment. Is it a difficult process or just a timing thing?
I've researched this stuff years ago and remember thinking I could probably tackle it but will definitely need to brush up.

Thanks in advanced.

Thank you for the info.

Im going to cut the pipe close to the tank to where it goes straight in and try to push a piece of metal through to open it back up.

I did try putting compressed air through it to break anything lose and also tried reverse with vacuum to no avail.

Co-driver side looks kinda suspicious...

Surprise, surprise... rust...

Made a new patch... like before.

Used that old CAD-template... it just needed a couple of inches more...

Using that hitech template, it was easy to create new piece.. testing...

Finished part.

Welded.

Cleaned...
