My 78 Concord AMX
« on: February 04, 2010, 02:08:16 PM »
Here are some of pics of my 78 Concord AMX.  I bought this car probably ten years and have spent the whole time amassing parts for this rare bird.  It is a true v-8 Automatic, with the Levi's interior.  I have nearly all replacement metal for the car, with fiberglass fenders and even found some NOS flares and ground effects. I have tried to get nearly everything NOS and do this one right. The car only has 54k miles but was a Michigan car thus the rust EVERYWHERE haha.  I am just about ready to get the project underway.  We recently got the motor running but will rebuild it due to how long it was sitting.  Its going to be all stock restored with very few modifications.  If anybody comes across any parts for it Please let me know!

Sitting in with a few of the parts cars and future projects! haha

Will hopefully have some more up pics soon as i find them!

Pacers, Eagles, Ramblers, Concords, and Wagoneers O' MY. Nice collection! That AMX will be a nice car when done. Is that blue FSJ a Wagon, J10, or Cherokee?

I hear ya about the body work. I have an 84 J-10 and even in dry West Texas the bed rots. Would you mind posting a pic of it?

Duane2171 has one with a 360 in it.  The 360 isn't original, of course.

2,540 in 1978 of them and you have one of the remaining survivors.  I am envious -- heck I am envious of anyone with a Concord or Hornet Hatchback.  I will be watching this project with great interest.

The V-8 and levi's interior and paint scheme make it a very rare combo...which makes it all the more worthwhile!

you are all making me severely jealous. I looked at one for a few months.. and decided i had to have it. So i checked on it.. and wouldn't you know, someone went to look at it that morning and snatched it away.  :'(
it was a 258, not the 304.. but i want the 258. (not opposed to having a 304 if its running really good already) it was so ridiculously pretty! I was pretty down on myself for taking so long to decide that i missed out on it. Found a few others.. but they needed a bit more work than i had wanted. :-\
I'll be watching this project as well...with extreme interest. ;D
