Windshield - Safety FIRST - BEST DEAL on them!!

(1/1)

JayRamb:
SO, I've been looking to replace my windshield in my daily driver, Erwin, the 1985 Eagle!

I thought, GO WITH THE LOCAL GUYS!  Might be more competitive and negotiable, right?!
I contacted three local Bloomington, Richfield, and Burnsville, MN.
The lowest I could get them down to was $286.00 PAYING CASH OUT! I told them, "How about some end of the year money on the books, cash"?

Didn't help.

I online quote late lastnight SAFELITE.
$188.00 $20.00 off, mobile service all in all, $210.68.

I am hving my windshield installed in the heated garage next week, Monday! WEE! MONEY SAVED and BETTER WARRANTY!

rommel1940:
Thats not bad at all

JayRamb:
Cost for an AMC EAGLE Windshield is ONLY $80!!
The Eurythene kit to install is $25.00

That is the cost! Rest is labor!  Depends, but I think Safelite has the most abundant source of stock around for competitive rates.

eaglefreek:
I had a windshield put in my TV Eagle earlier this week and it was $200 total out the door no haggle price.

AMCLOVER258:
I will tell you that car-part.com will run a search for salvage yards with parts available. Normally i will search for commonly listed parts E.G Engine then call each closest listing and inquire whether they have the body available and what the cost is to come pull whatever part i am in need of..
