I love that eagle...I was wondering where it ended up at after it got sold....glad to see its safe in the hands of a fellow nest member!!

Thanks for the props,  it's been a slow project.  Mechanically everything is in pretty good shape except the carb.  The thing fires right up but you've got to sit for a while before taking off or it stalls.  It stalls when you stop quick or turn a little quicker than normal.  When it stalls it may take a few minutes before you can get it to fire again.  So until I get that issue fixed it's still yard bound.  But it's now all road legal so I'm itchin' to really drive it.

But if one wasn't enough, picked this up Friday.  1964 Rambler Classic 2 dr Hardtop.

Ahhhhh, a top of the line Classic 770.   It looks like one of the two hard top versions?  They had 6 and 5 passenger HT models in '64.  And, more importantly:  the 195.5 or the brand new and optional predecessor to our 258's, the Typhoon 232 engine -- only available in 1964 in the 770 - 2 door models.

It's the 196 engine and seating for six with the split front seats.  This makes my seventh AMC.  It may be an addiction.   ;)

Should either be body style 6416-5 (sedan) or 6419-5 (Hard Top).  The sedan version totaled,1,278 built in '64 and is the rarest of all Classic 2 doors; while the Hard Top 6 passenger model 2 door 770 model boasted 8,996 built and was the most popular of all the Classic two door models that year.

I'm not sure what happened.  I didn't want to open the hatch for fear of dumping the whole window in the cargo compartment.  I looked through the hole to see if I could spot the projectile but didn't see anything.  With the angle of the rear window it had to come from more overhead than straight on.  I can't wait to see how fun it will be to find a replacement glass for an 84 Eagle.   I do know where there are a couple wagons with complete rear hatches so I've got a backup plan if the Insurance Co. doesn't deliver.
