Title: Two Outer rods to make 1 rod
Post by: tgotr on March 24, 2022, 03:53:17 PM
What would be stopping me from using an outer tie rod on my '84 Eagle as in inner tie rod. I have my old Tie rods out, and they look identical. Same length (7" from end to top of the head). The ball joints can go either in the knuckle or the steering linkage. Are the threads left hand threads on the inner tie rods?

Yes! That is so you can make adjustments without taking it apart.

Apologies for my ignorance.

I'm likely going to have to bite the bullet and go onto kennedy american.

No apologies needed. We were all ignorant at some point. The more you try the more you learn.
