Wow! I missed this thread some how. Great looking Eagle. I'm really curious about the writing on the firewall.

UPDATE!

Drove her around last night for its first road test. Drives like your cozy couch. Trans shifts better than new. Brakes well. There are a few downsides also. A mysterious no run condition is intermittent. Once running it stays running but leave overnight and wont fire. I cant understand why such an excellent spark and fuel system would have such problems. LOL. Lucky for me I have these.

We want to keep it stock....I know a 2100 and HEI or 4.0 head and EFI. But I'm a sucker for vacuum lines. The rear is noisy. Anyone have a good set of 2.35's for the rear?  Needs motor mounts and a lot of TLC. Anyways here is a picture under our careful attention.

Finally got her out of my garage and to my fathers house. All the major issues have been resolved. New radiator, both motor mounts, u joints, some exhaust repair and a new Ignition module. Carb is a little skippy and runs rich at idle but drives good. May need a new BBD.  Four wheel drive works and so does the AC. We have about $2000 in the car and are quite happy. Still needs a lot of little items repaired like 2 door handles, window lubrication and some new speakers and so on. Ill try to get some action pictures and post.

Congratulations ditdit, sounds like you raised a fine young man! Oh and nice car too...

Re:how many built daily....there are yearly production numbers for each model, I believe it's in the eaglepedia section. The variation in production numbers year to year for SWs surprised me.(IIRC, some years 5000, following year 20000). That doesn't answer your question, I realize, probably need someone who worked on the line to chime in.
I have a small cardboard sign (about 3" square) with 3 black numbers on it. It came with my 81 SW(I am 3rd owner). I think it might be the place on the line. I will dig it up and post a pic if I ever figure out how.

Good luck w the snow eagle!
