Hornet sportabout liftgate struts
« on: February 26, 2024, 03:53:43 PM »
I believe the reason I got a broken hinge was when someone pulled down one side instead of equal closing both sides the strut was way to stiff. The current ones are  Stabilus  028513 which are not even listed for my application. their listed as 141# which is way to much. Looking on the "Lift Support depot" website lists the hornet as 119# is to much I think and not correct dimension. Looking at the catalog  their  # PM3395W which is 54# and very close to the ones I took off would work.
Any ideas on these as a replacement or what kind are most people using?
