VAM Models
« on: October 01, 2013, 11:47:52 AM »
VAM retained older model names while AMC itself changed them in the US and Canada..  The Hornet remained the Rambler American and the Rebel and Matador kept the Classic name, however there were exceptions and we hope to have members here help us with them.   Other model names appeared, different from their US counterparts as time went on.  One notable model was solely VAM.  The VAM Lerma.

The Lerma http://www.motorstown.com/65023-vam-lerma.html (bunch for sale) was very similar to the Chev Celebrity. They took a 4 door Concord and grafted the Spirit rear end to it.

I borrowed the pic from the site above since I don't have any.

Link on the left there describes the other VAM vehicles
AMC/Jeep gauges are for amusement only. Any correlation between them and reality is purely coincidental!

Thanks Carnuck.  As time goes on I will set up topics/boards for the different models.  The Lerma is an intriguing one.
