After looking for many years, I found a deal I just couldn't pass up.

1983 Limited Edition Eagle Wagon.
Power everything (not entirely thrilled about that)
Rides smooth (too smooth (needs struts/shocks)
Beautiful wheels and a great body
Very minimal rust
Runs OK but stalls on hard stops and lacks top end power.
Smells like old people

Has a Class III hitch installed.
Offy Valve Cover already installed.

Seats are trashed so a seat mod/replacement is due. I will document everything.
Looking for a few inches (aren't we all) Probably going to swap coils and springs w/ something a little beefier.
Although the wheels are beautiful and darn near perfect, they will be up for sale soon. I have other plans.
Interior is awesome. I will be making a custom gauge pod/rail (will document)
I have Jeep headers (true dual) which might find their way on here if they fit
Motorcraft 2150 upgrade will be done very soon.
Although the bumpers and end caps are near perfect, I will probably make my own next year.
Add a swinging tire gate and a roof rack after I get the lift figured out.

I've owned almost every Jeep made. Always wanted an Eagle. I've sold over a thousand carb conversion for the Eagles, and have installed near 100 of them myself, just never owned one.

I can't believe these wheels. Near perfect...

I bought from the 2nd owner. He owned the Wag for 23 years and had bought it from his boss. He has known the Eagle since birth. It's all original except for the hitch/offy valve cover.

Momma gave me the green light to keep it too and make it a daily driver.

I haven't decides just yet. I will definitely lift it a bit and change the interior to a rubber floor and 2 front buckets,

Motorcraft carb and TFI ignition already set aside for it.

I have a few wheel/tire options, just need to lift 1st.

Probably keeing the body/colors stock as there is almost no rust or dings.

Whats the chances!!...Me, Maddog and Tougeagle all had identical white and bronze 1983 wagons and we all live in 60 mile radius of eachother. Tougeagle sold his but now GRONK has one!!....and he lives even closer to me and Maddog....Im thinkin' white and bronze are our official southern colorado gang colors.

Stalled on heavy stops and leaks a little from tranny. I'll get her cleaned up in a couple of weeks and dig in to the project then. Needs springs and shocks too. Overall, ran good. I'm happy.

tecniclly i can still drive Survivor, but if i do i take the chance of blowing the motor so i'm going to rebuild the motor before i try again.

Are we the Jets or the Sharks? One thing I forgot to look at or take a pic of before leaving Bucket in Westminster was the original Dealer Tag.

Once the gangs all rollin' I'm all for meeting up and doing a cruise of sorts.

Do any of you guys go to the Tri-State Aoto Meet? I'm there every year and this year (Feb 2012) I plan on using my Eagle for teh parts hauler. I just bought a smaller enclosed trailer to pull behind her. Having the Class III hitch receiver is awesome.

hows eagle eys running maddog?...I got old blue bird running but she burns some oil....driving it makes me feel like a cross between Uncle buck and Clark Griswald....My gang name can be "Rings"

good for the most part except for the radiator i bought a about year ago from autozone is starting to fall apart and they aren't going to replace it as the part numbers in their computers no longer match.

and i think i have developed an exhaust leak but haven't been able to check since my hand is still quite a bit messed up and sore.
