Dash lite sockets
« on: September 04, 2011, 08:52:22 AM »
Here is a hint for a replacement socket for the three lights (illumination) in the top of the inst cluster. When you at a bone yard, find a Jeep, Cherokee etc, with 4x4. Take the lite socket from the 4x4 shifter. It fits in the cluster of AMC's  They don't fit real tight, but they are better then the old one's that dried out and broke. You will need three of them, unless one of the local  auto shops have them, that would be easier

NOPE, the ones on top of the instrument panel to illuminate the dash. They have 194 bulbs in them. There wired into the harness
