other than the holes for the bumper ends is there any other difference between 1980 and the later front fenders?

The parts manual says that all (except Pacer) used the same fender in 79 and 80.  '81 is when Eagles had unique front fenders, different from the Concords and Spirits.

that's what I was afraid of. I was hoping they would be the same so that I could use the 81 on fenders on Eagle Eyes as the driver side fender is dented pretty badly and i'm not to sure that it can be saved.

I'm thinking that the main change was around the headlight area. Most of the conversion from the round single light to the rectangular dual light system is held in the trim, but I think some of the supports behind it were changed as well.
