Power steering pressuer

does anybody know what pressure is needed so that streering gear will work properly ?

I can't recall but most modern pumps are the same pressure.
AMC/Jeep gauges are for amusement only. Any correlation between them and reality is purely coincidental!

I think it's 1100-1300 psi.
