Title: Replacement Duraspark module sockets
Post by: MIPS on September 06, 2020, 02:39:06 PM
I tracked down a random cylinder miss to an electrical fault.  The sockets on the ignition module side of the connectors are split and falling apart. Every time I touch them more of the plastic comes off. The electrical contacts are shifting around and causing an intermittent connection. I can find replacement plug ends on the engine harness side but for the sockets on the module side all I'm finding is to replace the module. Any idea where I can get replacement sockets to splice in?

Within the past three months, I've seen those new online. I can't remember where, but I did spend some time exploring alternate Ignition Modules, so likely a link on a web page on that topic.

I believe this is the unit you need. I replaced mine about 10 years ago. This is the exact one I bought from rock auto.
