Title: St. Louis Post Dispatch Article of 10/18/2010
Post by: IowaEagle on November 22, 2010, 07:55:16 PM
1OldFordMan sent me this.  A few mistakes and kind of misleading when it comes to production totals.  He gave the total SX/4 production but the way the article reads it makes it sounds, unless you catch the SX/4 in the first sentence, that that was the total Eagle production.  Anyway you decide.   BTW, I found 18 colors for '81.  But, he is right the Standard catalog of American Motors lists 21, but some of them don't show up in the actual dealer brochure.  If you add the satin (low gloss) black used on Sport models, then that would make it 19.

They WERE the first cross over...These "new" crossovers coming out now are just high tech versions of what an eagle was. Its funny how people act like these crossovers are a new phenomena...A lot of them are the very same people who turned their nose at Eagles 20+ years ago....we know the truth though ;D
