diaphragm on front axle

Is this vaccum diphragm on the axle with the red vaccum line used to ingauge the front axles?

The vacuum diaphragm (shift motor) is the greasy part all of the vacuum lines go into.

Its greasy all right!! I hope its still functional...Probably not an easy part to come by.

You can do without it if you want to convert to shift-on-the-fly.
