Title: Shifter replacements

Hey all. The auto trans shifter in my '84 is DEAD and I need to replace it. I know the Mustang II and Pinto are pretty darn close.

Can anybody confirm this with 100% certainty?

I bought a Mustang II shifter and they look identical.  I haven't installed it yet to verify it though.  The only thing you have to do is swap over the light.

Van. did you ever get this mustang II shifter installed how did it work and how much of the shifter did you replace

I have not done the swap to the Mustang II shifter yet.  Perhaps Zoro can weigh in as to whether he went ahead and put a Mustang II shifter in his Eagle after he made this post.  Thanks!
