258 vacuum diagrams
« on: June 16, 2019, 07:04:53 PM »
I shared these on the Facebook group but here are my vacuum diagrams based on my 84 non-cali 258 sedan. I have made one for emissions, non-emissions, and non-feedback controlled. One optional change that can be made is hooking the distributor directly to a manifold vacuum. #18 manifold vacuum port has one open that could be used.

This is excellent, thank you!

Next, I need to find similar diagrams for the vacuum motors for the transfer case and front axle.  :)

Initially I was planning on making an all-encompassing vacuum diagram but the simple fact that this is my first eagle, and it is in good working order I decided against tearing the dashboard and transfer case vacuum systems apart to see how they worked. Maybe someday I'll add to the diagram but for now I'm at least happy I could finally provide something for people who need to know how much and what size vacuum tubes to purchase. I haven't done it yet but I'm hoping someone will add together all the lengths and post exactly how much of each type of tube is required to do a complete re-tubing. I know it was annoying to not have that information and having to buy way more vacuum tube than I really needed for fear of not having enough.
