heres what i have for sale
1984 amc eagle wagon 4x4
150k mi
automatic
motorcraft carb conversion
Grand Wagoneer transmission conversion
COLUMBUS OHIO
I bought the bird about 2 years ago from a poor single mom who had no idea what she just bought. I paid her 900 bux for it.
It would be was more efficient to list the things i have not replaced, instead of what i have replaced haha....
I am more than happy to send pictures, just cant figure out how to post them here?!
Runs and drives pretty well.
4x4 works, but does not have a good way to engage/disengage ( also the front axle is locked in )
Brake system is all new except the booster... the brakes are a soft (lines need bled)
currently trying to fix driver side door handle
Bigger problem just showed up- car will not go into park. the car just rolls. I think this is a linkage issue after the transmission swap- however i have not climbed under to find out. The transmission otherwise works in every gear but does leak fluid from the pan seal.
I have no idea what this car is worth, but i have certain put more into than i will get out of it haha. I want to sell it but would much rather it go to someone who wants an eagle instead of craigslist
any questions or if you want pictures i can email them or send by phone
thanks
james

Looks like a nice deal. Especially if someone can fix the parking issue easy. Hopefully just a linkage issue. Interesting...is that an SX/4 spoiler on the rear of the wagon? How easily did it mount? Also that AMX grill is worth something!
-
Came with the spoiler on it? its on there solid, but i did not mount it.
Only things i can think of that i havent replaced are the motor, radiator, brake booster, and fuel tank haha
:banghead: losing money for sure! :)
Also if anyone is that curious the compression on the motor (all cylinders ) is right around 60

Did your wagon sell?

What the heck? The ad is gone so all the pictures are gone. A wagon with a spoiler?
-
I tried to find the CL ad but it's not in the wayback machine.
-
So, has anyone tried putting one of these spoilers on a wagon?

I should have saved the photo, but yes, this guys Eagle wagon had an SX4 spoiler somehow incorporated into the rear hatch.
